Overview of
Frontline Management Qualifications
The Frontline
Management Qualifications help individuals and organisations enhance management
performance. Qualifications are issued at the Diploma, Certificate IV or
Certificate III level.
All
Qualifications are available through either Public Courses in Sydney or as
customised in-house programs with organisations delivered in Sydney, Melbourne,
Brisbane, Perth, Auckland and other locations by arrangement. Open Learning
Options are available.
Please contact us
to discuss your specific needs.
Qualifications
are Competency Based and are gained by providing evidence of competency in the
Unit. Participants must be assessed to gain the qualifications.
Recognition of
Prior Learning (RPL) and Recognition of Current Competency (RCC) are available.
Custom tailored
programs for organisations and ROI
FMI will tailor
programs to meet the specific needs of organisations. We partner with
organisations and deliver great results. We train and use Mentors within the
organisation to ensure that management competency is demonstrated that is
appropriate to the needs of the organisation. Participants carry out workplace
projects for assessment that are designed to create real benefits for the
organisation and are signed off by their Mentors and by their line managers.
Return on Investment (ROI) is measured and often delivers a positive cash flow
to the organisation. Knowledge gained through project work can be shared among
other managers using FMI’s unique Knowledge Bank © system. Working with
corporate clients over many years we have developed a range of strategies and
techniques that optimise the effectiveness of management development. As
leading specialists in this area we have a focus on performance improvement
that delivers real and measurable benefits to both participants and to their
organisations.

Proceeding up the
qualification ladder – flexible choices
If participants
are able to meet the required Diploma standard, and this is appropriate for
them, we sometimes advise participants to enrol in the higher level of
qualification even if they are uncertain that they will initially complete more
than 6 or 8 units.
The reasoning is
that if participants start at a lower level they must be re-assessed at the
higher level to progress, even in the units they have already completed
at the lower level.
If participants
have been assessed at the higher level (Level 5) it is easy to gain RPL for the
matching unit at Level 4 or 3, it is not so easy to gain RPL to move up the
scale.
For example, if
participants do not wish to proceed beyond 8 Units at Diploma Level they have
all completed with us we will provide free RPL at Certificate IV level. These
participants then later have to only complete three further units to gain the
full Diploma if they so choose.
