Professional 360° Management Performance Evaluation Tool

 

FMI’s Management Evaluator© is a professional 360° Management Performance Evaluation Tool.

Developed by the Frontline Management Institute it uses a competency focus to evaluate performance.

 

 

How does the Management Evaluator© help you and your organisation?

 

The Management Evaluator© is the ideal tool for managers and organisations to:

·         Evaluate and benchmark management performance

·         Identify development needs for training, coaching and/or mentoring

·         Identify where your own perception of your performance differs from that of your line manager, mentor, colleague or team member and address reasons for this gap in perception

·         Identify areas where outstanding performance can be used to help guide, advise or coach others in your organisation

·         Identify those competency areas where managers in Qualifications programs (Certificate or Diploma) are already skilled and might be able to apply for Recognition of their Current Competency rather than undertake face to face training

 

 

How does the Management Evaluator© work?

As a manager, you rate your own perception of your management performance against benchmarked core competencies in this area.

 

You then have the option of using the tool to benchmark feedback on your management performance from the following other people:

 

q     Line Manager – usually the manager you directly report to

q     Mentor – a workplace mentor or guide who is experienced and knows your performance

q     Workplace Peer – a colleague who works alongside you

q     Team Member – someone who reports to you

 

It is called a 360° tool because it gives feedback on performance from all angles.

 

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: It is also possible to use the Management Evaluator© as a self-focus tool, to enable individuals solely to reflect on their own performance and development needs without input from others.

 

The evaluator is available electronically in Word format and can be easily distributed throughout an organisation by sending as an email attachment before and after completion.

 

The Management Evaluator© enables you to benchmark your perception and others’ perceptions of your performance in areas that have been identified through industry input as crucial competencies for managers.

The tool can be used for self-analysis or organisation in-house analysis to give a simple percentage score, together with scores for each area.

The Frontline Management Institute can also process and report for you if you want to purchase this additional option.

Licence Fees

Each Management Evaluator© is available for individuals and organisation under a Licensing Agreement. The Management Evaluator© is sent to you or your organisation by email.

 

License Fees are charged on an annual (12 month) per head basis according to the number of users* paid for in advance when Licence purchase made. The same user can use the Management Evaluator© any number of times within the 12 month licence period and so can track their own development.

*For licensing purposes the “User” refers to the person the evaluation is carried out on, the “User” does not refer to the facilitator of the process when calculating licence fees.

Sample Licence Fee Calculations

To help you calculate the cost for your organisation here are a couple of worked examples.

 

Sample calculation #1:

Jo wants to have a Licence for a training Group of 18 Supervisors to use at the beginning, middle and end of a 10 month Management Development Program. Jo purchases a ME102 Mini Group Licence for the organisation for 18 users for one year.

Licence Fee per head (Mini Group price) = $18 including GST

Users = 18

Licence Fee = $18 x 18 = $324 Australian

 

Sample calculation #2:

Lee is sponsoring a Frontline Management Development Program for the South Pacific Region of the Company. 50 managers are involved in one-year program. Lee wants to use the Management Evaluator to test the results of the program by comparing with a trial group of 50 frontline managers not on the program.

Lee chooses a ME101 Silver Corporate Licence for the organisation for 100 users for one year.

Licence Fee per head (Silver Corporate price) = $12 including GST

Users = 100

Licence Fee = $12 x 100 = $1,200 Australian

 

Further Options

Further options are also available by quotation for our corporate clients including:

  1. The Frontline Management Institute collates results and reports back by email including charts to show competency levels
  2. Confidential assessment and reporting for selection purposes
  3. Learning and Development Needs Analysis services using this and other methodologies
  4. Learning and Development or HR organisations and Consultants can enter into licence arrangements for their clients subject to a specific Consultant Licence.
